Personality Test: Which Xenoblade Party Member Are You?

This test is put together based on the gifting affinity stats for each character. There are 25 questions. Items that I've illustrated will have their image shown below the associated item, but hopefully that doesn't sway anyone's choices too much. You don't have to answer every question, but I recommend doing so for most accurate results.

Dawn Dice - pretty dice made of red stone, found in the Satorl Marsh.
Forest of Gossip - makes a lively sound in the wind, found in Makna Forest.
Steel Silk - soft like silk when wet, found in Tephra Cave.
Plate Snow - a horrible white thing, found in Colony 9.
Gold Dust Illusion - a sand that shines a beautiful gold, found on Bionis' Leg.
Pauper's Cup - an overly-tiny cup of obscure usage, found in Satorl Marsh.
Hunger Crash - a juicy food that quickly fills you up, found in Galahad Fortress.

2. There's a bucket of old parts lying around... which do you pick up?

Rabbit Diode - A cute pink machine part reminiscent of a bunny's tail.
Winding Gear - A curved white cog. Why was it made like that? Nobody knows.
Blue Gear Shard - Sharp shard. Somebody could have their eye out with that!
Warning Lamp - A lamp that shines on low power. Fragile though, so it breaks easily.
Locust Spring - A bouncy spring that seems alive. Hard to know where it'll bounce next.
Angel Engine X - A machine designed to look like an angel flapping its wings.
Golden Cog - A gearwheel fully made of gold. It couldn't work in any known machine.

Meaty Potato - More like a meat than a potato. Feels like you're eating a meatball.
Dolphin Carrot - Cute little vegetable, but eating it turns your tongue orange for weeks.
Cute Parsnip - Pleasing to the eye and very sweet. Some folk plant it for decoration.
Kelp Mushroom - A slippery mushroom that is sweet and healthy.
Fire Pepper - So hot you'll think you're on fire. Actually, you are on fire!

Amethyst Melon - Esteemed as a dessert fruit, but also highly valued as a decorative plant.
Ice Kiwi Fruit - A cool kiwi that clears the head. Helps you to study at night.
Sour Gooseberry - A bitter fruit from which prairie trees sprout. Grating it yields a green dye.
Ether Plum - A satisfyingly sweet plum that is popular with the ladies.
Bitter Melon - The tangy taste of this melon strengthens as it ripens.

5. Which flower would you most like to grow in front of your home?

Mystic Dahlia - Almost constantly exhibits yellow flowers. Adored by the ruling family.
Razor Teasel - Emits exotic sounds. Puts you in a really good mood.
Delerium Foxglove - Delicate black flower of great rarity that takes its nutrients from charcoal.
Ether Rose - The white petals are lovely to look at, but its stench keeps creatures away.
Azure Hollyhock - A beautiful flower also known as the sea-blue stone.
Lewisia Silver - Wild white prairie flower. Retains its wildness after picking.
Jujube Silver - A shiny metallic flower of real beauty that only grows on Mechonis.

6. You visit a new zoo with animals from Bionis and Mechonis. Which animal do you spend the most time watching?

Crystal Frog - This frog collects fulgurite pieces and sticks them all over its body.
Yellow Cat - Also known as the Golden Lightning. Has smooth lemon yellow paw-pads.
Blood Worm - The name is rather ominous, but folks love its cute wriggling movements.
Soft Sea Cucumber - Tropic-dwelling sea cucumber. Its softness makes it hard to catch.
Dobercorgi - Timid and weak, yet can become an excellent guard dog with training.
Ether Penguin - This penguin has distinctive blue eyes, but still looks intimidating.
Mud Squirrel - Secretes a protective oil on its skin. A great little swimmer.

7. A Nopon friend wants to take you bug hunting. Which bug do you most want to find?

Shield Bug - After dreams of dancing in the sky, this species turned blue.
Shiny Scarab - A cute shiny beetle. It's not really one to pick a fight with others.
Rubber Mantis - An elastic mantis that will attack with its pincers. Doesn't hurt though.
Blue Ladybird - This ladybird traps air in its hairs so it can even breathe under water.
Prairie Dragonfly - A dragonfly that hides in the plains. Intimidating when disturbed.
Scissor Bug - Has a giant set of pincers that it lubricates with a secretion.

Blood Oil - A red liquid reminiscent of blood. They say it runs in Mechon veins.
Rabbit Stone - A red gemstone the colour of a rabbit's eye.
Kneecap Rock - A rough rock that yields a golden building material when polished.
Water Log - A black log that's constantly damp, as if it has been soaked in water.
Feather Leaf - A furry leaf from which they make bedclothes.
Poison Ivy - A deep purple ivy that looks like it might be insanely poisonous.
Gypsum Branch - A Branch from the ice tree. Sends a beam of light into the sky at night.

Blue Chain - Some kind of machine part or other. Looks old but should be usable.
Strong Dandelion - Known for its small black petals. The roots make a throat medicine.
Chewy Radish - Red and sour, thus difficult to cook. Used medicinally as a restorative.
Sorrow Beetle - A frustrated-looking beetle mostly found near water for some reason.
Cool Potato - A cooling green root that is particularly valued in the summer.
Red Lettuce - A particularly spicy lettuce that kids are keen to avoid.
Giant Hornet - A giant white hornet so heavy that it squashes any flower it alights on.

12. While traversing the perilous Tephra Cave, what item catches your eye?

Happy Rabbit - A rabbit with cute yellow eyes. They say touching it brings happiness.
Bright Fig - Top class juicy fig that glows yellow. Can even be seen in the dark.
Brown Butterfly - Blends into the sky while in flight. Also known as Heaven's Teardrop.
Rumble Stonefly - It moves gracefully and sings sweetly. Very beautiful.
Shin Newt - This black newt loves to be by clean water.
Confusion Ivy - Wraps itself around anything, hiding signs and leading travellers astray.
Clear Almond - Its spiciness gives a nice little kick. It has a clear blue colour like water.

13. What item do you stop to pick up while crossing the plains of the Bionis' Leg?

Walnut Grape - A grape in a hard shell. Too bitter to eat even if you manage to crack it.
Hard Lotus - Green and surprisingly spicy. Eat it and you'll soon feel the burn.
Spicy Cabbage - Packed with nutrients, but a complex veg that's tricky to prepare properly.
Rusty Bolt - A bolt that's rusted away by the elements. Probably useless now.
Mat Ice - Ice known as Golden Soil. It forms underground and is gold in colour.
Moth Crawler - Weird little wriggler. It's harmless, so it's fun to roll it between your fingers.
Fire Tarantula - An adorable tarantula whose many hairs are deadly poisonous.

14. The Satorl Marsh is dangerous, but full of unique items. What do you pause to investigate in this misty swamp?

Humming Cabbage - Eating it makes you want to spontaneously start singing.
Forget-You-Not - A flower of celebration used at weddings. A symbol of constancy.
Orb Daisy - This black-petalled flower is widely known for its medicinal properties.
Blue Turnip - Blue's not the most appetising colour, but one bite and you're hooked.
Happy Carnival - Weird liquid that chimes when stirred.
Lemon Stone - If you break it a golden liquid with a delicate lemon taste comes out.
Mist Tree - A form of timber unique to Satorl. It's rough, so it needs to be sanded.

15. What catches your eye in the lush and humid Makna Forest?

Schorl Mushroom - Looks like a cold green mushroom, but is actually succulent and tasty.
Pure Cherry - Usually grown beside clean waters. Eating it brings clarity.
Dark Mango - Often sneaks its way into boxes of sweet mangoes. Makes you feel blue.
Fossil Monkey - They call this monkey a living fossil. Maybe because it's rarely sighted.
Venomous Lizard - It has a shiny body, but people avoid it as it looks like a venomous lizard.
Hades Beetle - A black hue so dark you feel you're being drawn into an abyss.
Benign Cricket - Flies like a shooting star. A moving swarm is called a Meteor.

16. Eryth Sea is teeming with life. What item are you drawn to here?

Steel Hauyne - Purple item that is both gemstone and steel.
Sea Frog - Resides in warm climes. Has a voracious appetite for fish.
Tropical Radish - Reveals a tropical colour when you brush off the inky-black clay. Sweet.
Night Lily - Blooms by night, scatters by morning creating in time a carpet of black.
Dilemma Rock - A strange stone used for building. Looks hard, but it's actually soft.
Sea Berry - An enormous white flower. Reminds you of a snowy scene when open.
Pink Asparagus - So hot you'll think there's been an explosion in your mouth.

17. What intrigues you most as you climb the frigid Valak Mountain?

Frost Glass - Shulk was shivering as he named it. No one knows if it's ice or glass.
Fatal Belladonna - Looks like a fairy at play. Makes everybody smile.
Fire Apple - Looks like an ordinary apple, but one bite and you'll be spouting flames.
Girl Courgette - A cute red courgette. Sweet and succulent.
Broom Icicle - Finely branched like a broom. It's useless for sweeping though.
Black Ash - Textured stone made up of lumps of charcoal.
Ruby Mangosteen - A fruit that sparkles like a jewel. Outshines other fruits in tanginess.

18. Sword Valley may appear barren, but there are still signs of life to be found. What do you pick up?

Red Frontier - A weird red brick tougher than iron.
Black Blossom - A small, sharp black flower. Widespread, but not well liked.
Bitter Broccoli - This stays bitter no matter how you cook it. Looks pretty ordinary though.
Gold Condenser - It's metallic and thus conductive. One hesitates to use it though.
Abyss Heather - A purple metal flower whose light keeps others away.
Juicy Melon - The juice of this melon drips like water.
Citron Gooseberry - It tastes good at first, but it gets so sour as you chew that you feel sick.

19. Mechonis' Fallen Arm has developed its own unique ecosystem. Which are you most eager to investigate?

Golden Beetroot - A beetroot variety considered the best on Mechonis. Harvested frozen.
Dark Fish - A highly acrobatic swimmer. A big tank is needed if you make it a pet.
Rainbow Slug - This slug sticks crystals to its body, thus giving it a rugged look.
Poisonous Coral - Exceedingly rare coral that breathes half sea-water and half poison-water.
Star Cute - Deep green stardust.
Amber Leaf - Amber coloured leaf so smooth it's hard to grip.
White Plum - A tangy fruit with a white pulp. A mouth-watering sight.

20. Which item would you like to keep as a souvenir from Mechonis Field?

Tweet Tweet - A weird feathery thing like a chick.
Flame Frame - Peep inside to see a merry light.
Energy Aubergine - Bitter green aubergine that builds stamina. Recommended for men.
Mossy Panel - A metal sheet whose exposed areas are corroded by the elements.
Ivy Nest - A nest for small animals. It's made out of ivy.
Retro Diode - An archaic diode with a red light that's always on.
Water Boatman - It's hard to pick up this slippery lad. That protects it against foes.

21. Agniratha has a rich history that threatens to be lost to time. Which item would you most like to preserve?

Missing Tree - A soft tree which, through genetic manipulation, will never decay.
Grape Spring - A spring shaped like a grape. Why is it shaped this way? Nobody knows.
Sweet Lime - Eating the lime feels like chewing lumps of sugar.
Fortune Feather - A fluffy feather of fortune on Bionis. Sometimes floats over to Mechonis.
Freesia Cyst - Looks like it bloomed from amethyst. Touching its petals brings calm.
Fairy Tale Diode - They say gazing into the red light traps you in an enchanted world.
Juicy Blueberry - Crammed full of juice. So good it melts your soul away.

22. Prison Island is full of mysterious items that have been locked away for centuries. Which do you pick up?

Blue Blood - A blood stained pendant.
Lightning Weasel - A cute little blue-eyed weasel. Moves at lightning speed.
Hell Raspberry - HOT! People who have eaten it have sworn they've seen demonic visions.
Absurd Branch - Small branch that attracts mice from who knows where. It's always damp.
Modern Resistor - Now useless for memory storage. Might make a nice ornament though.
Angry Monkey - Has an angry-looking face, but is gentle natured really.
Dry Lemon - So cold the juice seems frozen. Delicious if that doesn't bother you.

23. What are your opinions on food?

You'll eat just about anything, even things others think are gross.
You like spicy foods and painfully strong flavors best.
You like filling meals that give you plenty of energy.

Black Chip - A black chip with residual charge. Unfortunately the wiring is busted.
Thunder Compass - A compass favoured by adventurers. The needle looks like a thunderbolt.
Emerald Snow - Green snow made of wind-scattered leaves accumulated over time.
Gold Burdock - Cook longer for extra sweetness and eponymous golden colour.
Love Beetle - An indigo-coloured bug. Beautiful, but known best for its belligerence.
Ultramarine Ant - An azure ant with giant jaws. Toils stoically for its queen.
Death Lychee - A sweetness to die for. Press it for a white juice that's like cream soda.
