Smoke Cylinder

This is a pretty strange artifact. I thought it was a Mechon part at first, but it doesn’t seem to be compatible with any of the bolt or screw shapes I’ve seen. It’s like it’s not meant to be attached to a machine at all. But why would a pipe emit exhaust if it’s not connected to some sort of engine?
Erm, because it’s not “exhaust,” exactly…
