That's the local saying. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.
It's tradition for families from our colony to these out with loved ones in the Defense Force. Even if it doesn't actually do anything, it lets them know they're being thought of.
Of course, I didn't send any with Dunban. Even if I pressed them so they wouldn't die, he'd still rather have something silly like a dead bug.
It did baffle the other soldiers, but I appreciated every insect you sent. Especially since I knew how difficult they were for you to catch.
Aww, that's really sweet. But I think I'll stick to flowers myself.
