Shulk's Scrapbook

Plate Snow

A horrible white thing that Fiora named when she was little.

I'm surprised Shulk wanted to collect this one. When we were kids, he always hated when I served him lunch on one of these makeshift dishes. I showed him one the other day for old time's sake, and he still made a face!

While I have used these as plates before, the name "Plate Snow" isn't very accurate. I'd never seen snow before when I named these! They're actually broken pieces of Krabble shell. The shed shells start to crumble after a while, which makes the snow-like dust. I guess that doesn't sound very tasty… but that was the point! I had to know if Shulk really couldn't taste at all!

Plus, I hated doing dishes, and I could just throw these away afterwards.

Not sure what Shulk was on about. Dust just gives it a little extra flavor if you ask me.

While I wouldn't necessarily want to eat off of one, I am rather fond of "Plate Snow." They hold some sentimental value. Before Fiora learned to cook with edible ingredients, she would spend hours by the beach mixing "soups" in these shell fragments.

(I hope she never tried to serve any of those concoctions to Shulk… though that might explain his lack of taste.)
