That’s right! And if you’re thinking he might be named after these flowers, you’d be right, too. Nopon merchants would bring them back to the colonies sometimes. They were our mother’s favorite.

Hee hee. Juju and I tried to plant her some from the seeds when we were younger, but they don’t seem to like the Bionis’ soil. We even tried watering them with engine oil and using rusty screws as fertilizer. Pretty silly, huh?
Not at all. I find it quite endearing.
Why don’t we try preserving some blooms while we are here? They may not grow on Bionis, but I believe we could dry or press a few as mementos.
